Hi! I'm Luyanda. People call me Lu.

I attended Wethinkcode, an innovative, non-profit and leading engineering college in the Johannesburg CBD. I am also enrolled as a second year student at UNISA , an open distance learning University studying a BS in Mathematics & Computer Science.

I finished high school at Northcliff High School in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2011. I love food, hiking, document preperation and gaming.

  • I work at Britehouse , in Johannesburg, SA
  • They're an African-born company with a global footprint, who specialise in SAP, Oracle and Microsoft solutions
  • I currently work as an Intern on their Graduate Program. I was given the opportunity to work as a Product Owner for an automation project

  • I attended Wethinkcode, in Johannesburg, SA
  • While studying there, I specialised in Algorithms, AI and Web development.
  • Wethinkcode is a Non-Profit organisation, is to unlock youth potential by closing the digital skills gap in Africa.
  • It is modeled on 42, a private, nonprofit and tuition-free computer programming school created and funded by French billionaire Xavier Niel.

June. 2016 - Dec. 2017

  • I worked for EF Education first as an Online English teacher.
  • I taught and prepared online lessons through an online platform from the offices in Bryanston, SA
  • I also did TOEIC/TOEFL test preperation, English Fluency and Proficiency Testing.

  • A travel and lifestyle brand I started along with Tumi Sindane
  • I headed up the creative direction, branding and was the webmaster for our partner site The Classy Traveler.

  • I attended Northcliff High School where I attained my National Senior Certificate.
  • I was on the Representative Council of Learners and obtained 4 distinctions (80% or higher).

Programming

I have a strong foundation in C and C++ where I have built various projects of different sizes across both languages.
